If you’ve recently completed a novel or short story and wish to have a beta reader, let me know. This is highly recommended before you begin the query or publishing process.

My preferred genres are science fiction, fantasy, horror, thriller/suspense, mystery and some literary.

I will give detailed on:

·    Themes

·    Characters/World development

·    Dialogue

·    Answer any questions you have

I will provide, in a separate document, analysis and constructive remarks on all areas mentioned above, plus…

1. What did I like and why?

2. Did I feel like I got to know the characters? Were they convincing/consistent?

3. Was the dialogue realistic/effective?

4. Grammar, spelling and punctuation: was there anything that stood out?

5. Word usage: was anything irritating? Repetitious? Disruptive?

6. Was there too much description or too little? Did it make sense? Could I visualize settings and people?

7. Were there parts that were too long? Too short? Too boring?

8. Was the opening strong enough? Did the book begin in the right place?

9. Was there anything I could have done without?

10. Was there anything I found confusing?
