We’re looking for a Facilitator specifically to support our self-help session needs, who will lead meetings helping individuals identify their purpose and articulate key actions they must take to ensure they realize their purpose. The right person should have experience presenting to diverse groups of individuals, should be engaging and interactive, and should inspire and ignite passion in people.

What we’re looking for in a teammate
We are looking for a highly organized and confident Facilitator with strong interpersonal communication and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a keen attention to detail, extraordinary customer service, and problem-solving skills to be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The incumbent should be flexible, with the agility to respond quickly and appropriately to changes in demands on the team. Support our self-help meetings, assist with development of curriculum, guidelines structure and execution. The right person should have experience presenting to diverse groups of individuals, should be engaging and interactive, and should inspire and ignite passion in people
Role & Responsibilities
-Facilitating discussions
-Creating a motivational, inspiring learning experience
-Achieving learning objectives
-Managing the environment of the session (as well as pre- and post-session activities)
-Curriculum and facilitation development with execution and improvement
– Help us to determine the assistant facilitator roles as well as the host and practice of implementation
Principle skills required are:
-Exceptional questioning skills
-Outstanding facilitation skills
-Ability to handle challenging discussions
-A talent for connecting concepts and skills to team member roles
-Ability to synthesize/summarize key points in a discussion
-English is a must
-Spanish is preferable
Hard skills
-As a facilitator, whether in-house or working on a contractual basis, you’ll need to demonstrate your ability to:
-Put collaboration methods into practice
-Guide, support, and bring out the potential of a team and its members
-Educate the team in the best ways to define and meet goals
-Encourage data-backed decisions and provide examples
-Reduce or eliminate assumptions
-Create and implement efficient processes
-Move teams through ideation, prototyping and testing phases rapidly
-Organize, manage, and run remote facilitation
-Demonstrate expertise in the online facilitation tools needed to run virtual workshops
Soft Skills
-An objective approach to ensure that outcomes of the workshop are guided by the process itself, rather than internal agendas or personal bias
-Excellent organizational skills to communicate expectations for each activity, keep teams focused on the task at hand, and conclude each task fully
-Empathy and understanding as well as the ability to listen to different perspectives and encourage healthy debate
-Authenticity to build trust with the group
-Assertiveness and confidence to keep the group focused, the conversation on topic, the activities within the allotted time frame, and to ensure no time is wasted on anything that does not work towards producing a positive outcome
-Clear, precise, and engaging conversational skills to keep motivation levels high, ask the right questions, and enable everyone to understand the trickier aspects of the workshop
-Willingness to adapt, be flexible, and improvise as the situation requires it
-Ability to keep the group’s energy levels high
Please Note: This will be a very light hourly job. We will be starting off with only one meeting a month which will consist of 2 hours for the meeting itself, most we think will be accomplished in trial by fire meet ups between the meetings for adjustment, video and critiquing. This is a general outline of a role being developed and therefore subject to changes.
